Created in 1936, Okefenokee means “land of trembling earth.” With almost 402,000 acres (that’s roughly 300,000 football fields in size) of cypress forest, marsh, lakes and islands, one could spend a lifetime and still not see and do everything. Join us as we explore the winding boardwalks, the trail that leads through unique habitats to the observation tower, and the water trails and platforms to go canoeing for the day.
